Videogram turns your videos into frame grids, clips, GIFs and more — and it does all of it on your device, including transcription. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Your videos never leave your phone through us.
In short No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. No advertising. We don’t collect your videos, photos, or any personal information — because we have nowhere to send them.
What Videogram works with
Videogram works with videos, Live Photos, and images that you choose from your photo library or files. All processing — extracting frames, detecting faces (via Apple’s on-device Vision framework), building grids, trimming, and exporting videos, GIFs and audio — happens entirely on your device using Apple’s AVFoundation and Vision frameworks. None of it is uploaded anywhere.
What is stored
Videogram keeps only what’s needed to work: temporary files it creates while processing, and the finished exports you explicitly save to your Photos library or Files. These live on your device (and in your own iCloud only if you choose to save them there). The developer has no access to any of it.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, name, email, or phone number is required or collected.
- No analytics, usage tracking, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
- No location data.
- Your videos, photos, frames, transcripts, and exports are never sent to the developer or any third‑party server. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous purchase data handled by Apple and RevenueCat (see below).
Speech recognition (Transcript & Captions)
Transcripts and captions are generated entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The audio of your video is never uploaded, and the resulting transcript is stored only on your device. On iOS 26 and macOS 26 the app downloads a small language model from Apple the first time you transcribe in a given language; that download contains no data about you. Videogram never records you: the microphone permission it lists is used only by Apple’s speech framework, and the app only reads audio from the video file you picked. Transcription is available in English, Italian, Spanish and French.
One thing worth explaining: on some versions of iOS the system permission prompt for speech recognition says that speech data “will be sent to Apple”. That wording is Apple’s, it is fixed by iOS, and it describes the general capability rather than how a particular app uses it. Videogram asks for on-device recognition every time; if a language cannot be recognised on the device, transcription stops with an error instead of falling back to a server.
Photo library access
When you pick media, iOS may ask for permission to access your photo library. Videogram only reads the specific items you select, and only writes back files you ask it to save. It never scans or uploads your library.
Subscriptions & purchases
Videogram offers an optional Premium upgrade (monthly, annual, or one‑time lifetime). Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which handles subscription status and receipt validation. Videogram identifies your purchase using an anonymous identifier generated per installation — no personal information (name, email, etc.) is sent. Apple’s standard purchase terms and privacy practices apply to the transaction itself.
Children
Videogram is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
