How do I film with both cameras?
On the home screen tap Shoot. Videogram records the front and back cameras at the same time, as separate layers, so there is nothing to decide while you film — tap the round button to pause and again to resume. Afterwards open Layout to choose where your face goes: a bubble, a split, picture‑in‑picture, face only or scene only, switching between them with a cut or a glide. Shoot appears only on iPhones that can run both cameras at once (iPhone XS, XR and later).
How do I talk over a video I already have?
Pick the video, then choose Talk over it. The video plays while the front camera and microphone record you; your bubble sits right under the camera so you look at the lens. The speaker button turns the video’s own sound off while you talk — and in the edit, which you can change later under Layout → Video sound. Headphones give the cleanest sound if you keep it on.
The camera or microphone doesn’t work
Check that access is allowed in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera (and Microphone) → Videogram. If your iPhone gets hot, Videogram lowers the frame rate and, if needed, stops and keeps what you recorded. It also stops a take before your storage runs out.
Can I fix a take I don’t like?
Yes. Every pause starts a new take. In Layout, tap a take to trim either end, play it faster, or remove it — nothing is deleted from your recording, so you can always restore it. In the transcript you can also cut any sentence or word, remove pauses, or speed them up instead.
How do I trim what gets exported?
Tap a frame in the grid, then choose Set as Start or Set as End. The export dialog shows the resulting length so you can confirm your in/out points before exporting.
What can I export?
Original or trimmed video, sped‑up video, muted video, animated GIF, audio‑only (M4A), the frame grid image, and a text transcript. Speed Up, Animated GIF and audio‑only require Premium, and free video, GIF and audio exports are limited to 30 seconds. Frame grids and text transcripts have no length limit.
What does Premium include, and what does it cost?
Premium removes the watermark, exports clips of any length and unlocks Speed Up, Animated GIF and audio‑only. It’s $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year (with a 7‑day free trial for new subscribers) or $49.99 once for lifetime access. Prices vary by region and are shown in the app before you buy.
Managing your subscription
Manage or cancel a Premium subscription anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Restored purchases sync across devices signed in to the same Apple ID — use Restore Purchases on the paywall.
How do share links work?
After exporting a video, tap Share via link on the export card, give the link a name and pick a cover frame, and Videogram uploads the video and gives you an address on videogramapp.com that anyone can open — no app or account needed. Free links last 7 days; with Premium you can choose 7, 30 or 90 days and keep as many live links as you like (free accounts keep one at a time). Every link you’ve made is listed under Shared Links on the home screen, with a view count; ending a link there deletes the video from the server at once. Sharing the same edit again lets you update the existing link instead of making a new one.
Can I pick up an edit later?
Yes. When you leave an edit, choose Continue Later and it appears on the home screen as “Continue where you left off”. Videogram keeps your last five edits — trim, grid, transcript cuts and captions included — under Recent Edits. Swipe an edit to delete it.
A word in the transcript or a caption is wrong
Open the segment, tap Edit above the words and tap the word to retype it — the transcript, captions and exports all use the corrected word, and the audio is untouched. Captions can also be edited individually by tapping them in the caption strip.
Privacy
Everything runs on your device, including recording and transcription. The one thing that leaves it is a video you choose to publish with Share via link, and that is deleted when the link expires. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I combine several photos and clips into one video?
Yes. Select several items in the picker — photos, Live Photos and video clips can be mixed — and Videogram opens an Arrange screen. Drag the rows to reorder them, delete any you don’t want, set how long each still image holds (1–10 seconds), then tap Stitch. Everything is normalised to one size and joined into a single video you can then trim, transcribe, caption or turn into a frame grid.
Which languages does Videogram support?
The app is available in English, Italian, Spanish and French, and it transcribes speech in the same four languages. Pick the language of the speech in the transcript toolbar before transcribing.
Transcription says my language isn’t available
Transcription is on‑device only. On iOS 17–25, enable the language under Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation (dictation languages download the on‑device speech model). On iOS 26 the app downloads the language model itself the first time you transcribe; make sure you’re online for that first run.
